Mrs. Carolyn C.
Dolen has been executive of the Augusta Choral Society since
1993. In her capacity, she oversees the day to day operations of
the ACS. Her responsibilities include making all the arrangements
for the concert season, advertising and publicity, ticket sales,
writing grants and representing the ACS at community
functions.
Mrs. Dolen graduated with distinction from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. She taught in the pubic school system in Memphis, Tennessee and was the Business Manager and Personnel Manager of The Mostly Strauss Orchestra in Denver, Colorado.
Mrs. Dolen served a three year term on the music panel for the Georgia Council for the Arts in Atlanta and in 2002 was selected the Arts Professional of the Year by the Greater Augusta Arts Council. She serves on the board of directors of the Rachel Longstreet Foundation, the parent organization of the Jessye Norman School of the Arts in Augusta and secretary/treasurer of the board of The Riverwalk Series in Augusta.
